This study day will look at the challenges of making the diagnosis of acute aortic dissection, new approaches to diagnosis and initial management once the diagnosis is made.

  • Understanding of the pathophysiology of acute aortic dissection and how this affects presentation
  • Knowledge of current approaches to facilitate diagnosis
  • Knowledge of new approaches to facilitate diagnosis
  • Knowledge of managing aortic dissection after diagnosis
