+ Event summary

Burnout is a phrase we are now all sadly familiar with. How confident do you feel in noticing the signs of burnout in your colleagues, in yourself? How confident do you feel in embedding practices in your department to support the wellbeing of your team and mitigating the risk of more people succumbing to the pressures of working in the ED? Whilst we don’t have all the answers, we hope this event will present an evidence-based approach to burnout and wellbeing but also provide a forum for brainstorming and learning from the experience and insights of each other. The better we look after our staff, the better we look out for our patients and offer them the brilliant healthcare they deserve.

Learning objectives of this event:

To become familiar with the existing research around burnout and other psychological impacts of working in high-stress environments like the Emergency Department
