+ Event summary

This day will look at national guidance and reports that require an ED response.  It will also look at safety issues in our EDs, especially related to crowding, and how to mitigate against these safety risks, with lessons that are applicable across the UK.

  • The learning objectives of this event are:
  • To review the NHS R reports and understand how to implement change in your ED
  • What NATSSIPS2 means for the ED
  • To understand about PSIRF
  • To learn about ways of involving patients in patient safety

+ Who should attend?

EM clinicians of all grades.

+ Abstracts

Submit your abstract for the chance to present in the lightning presentation round and share your safety initiative or improvement project with a national audience.

The lightning round is all about sharing good practice and learning from your safety improvement initiatives. The top four submissions will be invited to give an oral presentation as part of the lighting round.

All other accepted submissions will be invited to present their work as a poster, which will be displayed on the virtual event platform for delegates to browse during and after the event.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 2 February at 23:59 (GMT). All submitters will be notified of the outcome from Friday 9 February. All successful applications will be required to register for the event.
