We have recently launched a Member Engagement Group (MEG) as a way of engaging our members in what we do.
Being part of this group is an opportunity for you to contribute to the College, what we do and how we do it. We are looking for a diverse group of members to provide insight into our work as well as feeding back on how we are doing and what we could do better.
We believe that engagement with members should be a conversation rather than a broadcast which is why the MEG is so important and why your insight is crucial. It’s an opportunity for us all to connect directly and hopefully develop a really useful dialogue which will yield greater understanding, tangible outcomes and improvements in both the RCEM member experience and the wider EM community.
We anticipate sending you questions/surveys throughout the year (no more than one communication per month apart from exceptional circumstances – we don’t want to overwhelm you with questions!) to get your thoughts on a number of subjects related to the College and Emergency Medicine. Your diverse input will feed into our work and although responding to our surveys/queries is optional, please know that the more you engage, the more you will help us to support you.
Zoom meetings will occur every other month for members of the MEG and these will be an opportunity for members to ask questions, give further feedback, suggest ideas, etc. These zoom meetings be largely informal but minuted so that we can all have clarity around the progression and development of our discussions/ideas over time. Please be assured that any feedback given will be anonymised.
If you are an RCEM member and would like to know more about becoming part of the MEG then please click below to get in touch with me.
