Minor injuries are a crucial area of EM practice. Patients of all ages present to us with acute injurie, seeking help with managing pain and restoring them to normal functioning. In this study day we’ll cover essential knowledge needed for managing minor injuries in the ED setting.
Learning objectives:
- Understand the causes of pain and pain management options for minor injury patients
- Improve knowledge of common injuries, including anatomy refresher, radiology examples and Examination technique hints and tips
- Develop awareness of commonly missed injuries and clinical governance issues in relation to missed fracture presentations
