Event Summary
The RCEM Quality Improvement Study Day is designed to explore the science of Quality Improvement (QI) within emergency medicine.
Focusing on the current RCEM QI program, this event aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to implement effective QI initiatives, specifically addressing mental health, care of the older person, time-critical medications, and adolescent mental health.
Learning objectives:
- To understand the fundamental principles and methodologies of Quality Improvement
- To explore the specific QI projects within the RCEM program and their impact on clinical practice
- To develop skills in designing, implementing, and analyzing QI projects
- To enhance knowledge of standards, metrics, and tools used in QI
- To foster a collaborative approach to QI through sharing of best practices and case studies
