Call for expressions of interest
Annual Conference 2028 Programme Planning Group
We are looking for a diverse and passionate group of clinicians who are eager to play a key role in shaping an engaging, educational and impactful programme.
Applicants should apply as a single group consisting of six to eight people. You could be from the same trust area or colleagues across your ED. You will work together to develop a comprehensive conference agenda, with a focus on contemporary issues, innovative practices, and cutting-edge research in emergency medicine.

Key responsibilities
- Collaborate to design an inspiring and engaging conference programme that reflects the latest advancements, trends and research in emergency medicine.
- Use your networks to identify and invite potential speakers, including experts from within the specialty both in the UK or based internationally.
- Research and propose relevant topics, ensuring the conference programme covers a wide range of clinical, educational and professional development areas.
- Contribute to ensuring the content is both timely and relevant to the diverse needs of emergency medicine clinicians across the UK.
- Actively prepare for, and participate in, meetings and provide ongoing input and support throughout the planning process.
What we’re looking for
- A group of emergency medicine clinicians who are passionate about education and the ongoing development of the specialty.
- Individuals with a wide professional network who can identify and approach potential speakers from across the field.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a collaborative attitude to help create a conference experience that is both informative and inspiring.
- A commitment to high standards in programme development and delivery.
