The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) has introduced new logos for three of the College’s member Forums, EMTA, EMSAS and EMACP, marking a step towards a more unified and consistent visual identity across the College.
Developed in collaboration with Forum Chairs and an external designer, the new logos strengthen alignment with the RCEM brand while preserving the distinct identity of each Forum. Each design incorporates the Rod of Asclepius, a widely recognised symbol of medicine and healthcare.
The updated logos reflect both the individuality of each Forum and their collective role within the wider College, supporting a clearer and more recognisable presence across RCEM communications.
“As EMSAS Chair, I’m delighted to see the launch of the new coordinated logos. We have made only a small change to the logo originally designed by Steve Black when we rebranded from FASSGEM to EMSAS. The Forum logos reflect the individuality of each group within RCEM, while emphasising that we are part of a wider organisation.”
Jocelyn Brittliff, EMSAS Chair

“Our EMTA logo was looking a little tired, so a refresh was long overdue. This rebrand reflects our closer working relationship with the College. With over thirty EMTA representatives contributing across dozens of committees, this stronger alignment helps us advocate more effectively for resident doctors.”
Rob Hirst, EMTA Chair

“The new EMACP logo symbolises our unified presence across all four nations, embodying the collaborative and multi-disciplinary nature that defines our membership, modern emergency medicine and advanced practice.”
Amy Cawthorne and Johnathon George, ACP Co-Chairs

The new logos have been shared with Forum Chairs and will be rolled out across RCEM’s social media channels, website and email communications from today (1 April).
