This is the flagship event for Scotland’s emergency medicine community—a unique opportunity to connect, collaborate, and be inspired. Expect cutting-edge clinical updates from leading experts, lively discussions, and plenty of chances to network with peers
This year’s programme dives into essential themes: trauma, paediatrics, careers, sustainability, and much more. You’ll also enjoy thought-provoking presentations, innovative posters from across the community, and a presidential address offering insights and reflections on the year ahead.
Please note, registration for this event will close on Tuesday 28 April, but may close earlier if capacity is reached.

Abstract submissions
Abstract submissions for this event have now closed. Due to the volume of submissions we have received, reviews are taking slightly longer than anticipated. We aim to notify all submitters of the outcome in the week commencing 16 March.Â
The oral presentations will take place at the conference, in Edinburgh on 12 – 13 May 2026. Successful applicants will be required to register to attend the event.
Posters will be displayed in the venue in a physical format. Successful poster presenters will be required to register for the conference and bring their poster to the venue on 12 – 13 May 2026.
RCEM is unable to reimburse travel expenses, accommodation or registration fees of the successful abstract presenters or posters.
Social event
An informal social event will be held on Tuesday 12 May, directly after the conference at Dragonfly, 52 West Port, Edinburgh EH1 2LD – a few minutes’ walk from the conference venue.Â
The social event can be added to your booking when registering. There’s no charge to attend, and spaces are offered on a first come, first served basis.
