By underground: the closest stations are London Bridge and Borough, respectively on the Northern and Jubilee line and Northern line.
From London Bridge: this is a ten minute walk. When leaving London Bridge Station, use the Borough High Street exit and turn left as you leave the station. Continue down Borough High Street, past Ryman and Subway. Cross the road so that you are on the same side as The Slug and Lettuce, and take the right hand turning on to Union Street. Ayres Street is the second turning on the left, and the College is about halfway down on the left.
From Borough: approximately a five minute walk. Exit Borough station on to Borough High Street (you will see Starbucks opposite) and turn left, then left again on to Marshalsea Road. You’ll pass Joe’s Kitchen and Coffee House on the left, and Munchies cafe on the right. Ayres Street is the fourth turning on the right, the College is about half way down the street on the right, just past the petrol station.
By Bus: the following buses stop on Borough High Street: 21, 35, 40, 133, 343. Please follow the instructions above for directions to the College.
By Car: the closest car park is Union Car Park on Southwark Street, between Southwark Bridge Road and O’Meara Street. This is a five minute walk from Octavia House. Turn left from the car park and walk down O’Meara Street. Turn right onto Union Street and then left onto Ayres Street.
Please note that parking in the area is limited and daily tariffs can be expensive, you might prefer to use public transport.
We are unable to transfer event registrations to another event. Delegates should follow the cancellation policies for face-to-face or online events in order to receive a refund and then rebook for their chosen event.
Delegate Cancellation
If a delegate wishes to cancel their event registration, a written cancellation must be received at least 14 days prior to the event in order to receive a full refund. Replacement delegates are welcome at any time.
If a delegate wishes to cancel for an online event, written notice of cancellation must be received 6 weeks prior to the live event date in order to receive a full refund. Cancellations received less than 6 weeks prior would not be eligible for a full or partial refund, as pre-recorded content, as well as recordings from the live sessions of an online event, will be made available to watch on-demand for 6 months.
We are unable to accept cancellations or issue refunds for delegates who purchase on-demand access after the live event date.
College Cancellation or Postponement
The College reserves the right to cancel any event. If an event is cancelled or postponed delegates will be informed in writing and will be issued a full refund. We regret we are unable to refund any charges incurred through booking travel, accommodation or expenses for the cancelled event.
Please note, the College is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration or cancellation/postponement of an event. The College shall assume no liability whatsoever if this event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this conference impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather, terrorist activity or other emergencies.
If an online event is cancelled due to a technical failure, we will reschedule the live session to an appropriate time and date.
Changes to the programme
While speakers and topics were confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, the College reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the event’s webpage as soon as possible.
Delegates who do not attend the live section of the event, or who have purchased on-demand access after the live event date, will not be eligible for a CPD certificate, but can still register their attendance for CPD for revalidation purposes by completing the appropriate reflection.
Live events are hosted on the College website and as such no technology other than a web browser will be required. Where an event is held on a different platform, delegates will be informed of the technological requirements and advised to test the platform on their device ahead of the live event.
The College assumes no liability if delegates are unable to view the live event due to individual technical issues.
Please be aware that for some online events, your name, email address or phone number (depending how you join the event) may be visible to other delegates. If you choose to turn your camera on, your image may be visible to others so please be aware your surroundings, for example other people, in the background. You can choose to have your camera off and amend your name, for example remove your surname. View our guidance for delegates at virtual events.
The live sessions of online events will be recorded and made available to registered delegates after the course has ended.
The College may also use platforms such as Vimeo, Microsoft Teams and Zoom to deliver online events. Information relating to the platform being used will be sent to registered delegates ahead of the event. Please refer to the privacy notices for Vimeo, Zoom and Teams for further details of how they may use your information.
Please note all special requirements including dietaries and special access must be finalised at least 5 working days before the event takes place. Requests and changes after this time, cannot be guaranteed.
Dietary requirements given by attendees, will be passed onto the venue and catering services, however we cannot guarantee that catering will be prepared in an allergen free environment.
The College will endeavour to organise reasonable adjustments for requested special requirements.
Attendance at the event will be confirmed on receipt of the full balance. All participants are advised to bring a copy of their confirmation with them on the day, to ensure the fastest possible entry.
By booking and registering for an event, you agree for the College to use the data provided to administer this event and market other relevant events to you for up to 3 years. The College will not circulate your data to external parties without your prior consent.
By answering the booking question regarding sharing contact information to sponsors, you agree to your data being shared, as covered by our Privacy Policy.
RCEM reserve the right to refuse entry to all our events, this includes, but is not limited to; being abusive to staff and members; being under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, being unable to provide a valid proof of purchase to the event.
Filming and live streaming of RCEM events without official sign off is strictly prohibited. If found to be in breach of this clause, then the college reserves the right to remove you from the event with no refund given.
If attendees of RCEM events fail to sign official sign-in sheets to our events, the college have no obligation to issue CPD accreditation.
The organisers do not accept liability for any injuries or losses of any nature incurred by delegates and/or accompanying persons, nor for loss or damage to their luggage and/or personal belongings.
