+ Event summary

The Emergency Medicine (EM) Educators Day aims share all the wonderful education that is going in EM. From simulation to escape rooms, through to new ways to teach topics, anything educational goes. This is for all healthcare staff including students to share their education initiatives, novel ideas, education research or tried and tested methods and will be a platform to share the great education that can be delivered in a highly dynamic environment.

Learning objectives:

  • Up-to-date understanding of EM education for the MDT
  • Tips and tricks to take back to your ED
  • Understanding of education theory to help you deliver better education in EM
  • How gamification can be used as an education modality
  • Update on the curriculum where to next for EM education

SLOs covered: SLO 2, 8 9, 10 and 11

GMC domains covered: 1 and 3

EM clinicians and allied health professionals at all levels

+ Programme + Abstracts

Submit your abstract for the chance to present at the event! We’re looking for abstracts of no more than 300 words on any educational activities relating to EM, PHEM or PEM.

The highest scoring abstracts will be invited to present their work as an oral presentation. Other successful applicants will be offered the chance to display their abstract as a poster, which will be added to the online event platform for delegates to browse.

The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 3 September at 23:59 (BST). All submitters will be notified of the outcome from Tuesday 10 September.

Successful applicants will be required to register to attend the event. Posters will need to submitted as a PDF file by email to events@rcem.ac.uk, by Tuesday 15 October.

RCEM is unable to reimburse travel expenses, accommodation or registration fees of the successful abstract presenters or posters.
