Emergency Physician’s ECG Course (EPEC)

Event date: 16 December 2024

Venue: Online via Zoom

Summary of event:

A live online advanced ECG interpretation course from the clinical Emergency Medicine prospective using real-life case scenarios, aimed at HSTs & senior EM clinicians, but ACPs, ACCS trainees, FY2 doctors & senior paramedics will greatly benefit from it. EPEC has been approved by the Federation of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom for 8 Category 1 (external) CPD credits.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Spot ACS ECG changes with more confidence; this will be achieved via covering new different guidelines, new signs related to ECG interpretation, commonly missed signs of Ml, how to anticipate ST elevation before it happens, ischemia detection in presence of BBB, and in the paced rhythm, plus discussing changes in concepts that have happened in the last few years
  • Manage some difficult arrhythmia in special circumstances, e.g. with WPW
  • Have a clear differential diagnosis when it comes to ‘Syncope & ECG’
  • Understand and spot the non-cardiac cause of ECG abnormalities
  • Manage ECGs that look similar but with completely different diagnoses and management plans in the ED setting.

Fee: £107.54
