How to apply for examinations
Online applications for all examinations will open at approximately 10am (GMT time) on the application opening date listed on the Exam Calendar & Fees page, Dates and Fees section and close automatically at 5.00pm (GMT time) on the listed closing date. Applications must be completed before 5.00pm on the closing date, late applications will not be accepted.
All applications must be submitted online. The College does not accept paper applications, payment by cheque or card payments by telephone.
The application process takes some time to complete, so please apply well in advance of the given deadlines.
Please ensure that you fully complete all parts of the application, otherwise this will delay the processing of your application and late applications will not be accepted.
The link to all application forms will be made available here on the given day the application/s are due to open.
We have changed our approval & payment process for our OSCE exams to improve the service we offer to candidates.
If there are more applicants for OSCE exams than the number of spaces available, candidates will be allocated using our Oversubscription Criteria.
We aim to give an outcome regarding your application no later than 4 weeks after the application window has closed. This allows our team time to individually review each application and, if we receive more applications than spaces available, carefully apply our Oversubscription Criteria. If you are allocated a space in the upcoming exam, we will email you with information on how to pay for your exam and will give details of the timeline to complete your payment. Please note that if your payment is not completed within that window, that exam space will be offered to the next candidate in order of the Oversubscription Criteria.
Please help us with our application approval process by ensuring your contact details (email address & address), and employment history is up-to-date and your documents, such as internship & medical registration certificates (or equivalent), are valid and uploaded in your RCEM account. Eligibility criteria for the exam are available here.
