Friday 27 March 2026 | Face-to-face event | RCEM Octavia House, 54 Ayres Street, London, SE1 1EUÂ
From 30 November 2023, doctors applying for specialist or GP registration will need to provide evidence that they have the knowledge, skills and experience required to practise as a specialist or GP in the UK.
This is the new standard in legislation. It is an important change as it gives us more flexibility to accept a broader range of evidence from applicants.
This event will benefit those who intend, or are in the process of, submitting a RCEM Portfolio Pathway application in Emergency Medicine for entry to the Specialist Register. The programme will include an overview of the RCEM Portfolio Pathway process, guidance on what evidence to submit, tips from those who have submitted successful RCEM Portfolio Pathway applications, a practical exercise discussing evidence from a real application, and a Q&A session.
Delegates should come away with a good understanding of the RCEM Portfolio Pathway application process, and a clear idea of requirements with regard to experience and evidence.
Please note, registration for this event will close on Friday 20 March but may close earlier if capacity is reached.Â
