Open call for talks proposals

We are excited to announce the open call for talk proposals for the Flagship Conference 2026. Proposed talks may be given a contested speaking slot in the programme, a breaktime exhibition talk, or an alternative opportunity to present. By submitting a proposed talk, you are not guaranteed attendance or a speaking slot.

Please note, this open call for talks is separate to the call for abstract submissions which will open in the coming weeks. Abstract submissions focus on research work, quality improvement projects and case reports. Please do not submit a talk that covers these areas as it will be rejected.

In order to submit we need the speaker details, format type and a 50-word summary of what the talk will cover. Click the button below to submit your talk proposal today.

Deadline for talks proposals is midday (BST) on 31 July 2025.

Submit an abstract

The call for abstracts is now open, with top scoring submissions being invited to present their work as an oral presentation or poster onsite at the ICC Birmingham.

Professor Matt Reed, Chair of the Research Committee, highlighted the importance of the research being showcased: “This conference will be a fantastic platform for presenting groundbreaking research that can shape the future of emergency medicine. The call for abstracts will open in the coming weeks and we encourage everyone in the EM community to submit their abstracts for the chance to present their work either orally or as a poster onsite.”
