The Candidate Services Officer is critical to the work of the College, as you will provide exceptional customer service to exam candidates throughout their entire exam journey.
As Candidate Services Officer, you will develop a thorough understanding of the MRCEM and FRCEM theory exams, ensuring that all candidates receive high-quality support and advice in line with established policies, procedures, and best practices. This is an important role for the College as you will contribute to the efficient delivery of emergency medicine education.
Responsible for managing the exam application process, candidate bookings, and providing support on exam days, you will work closely with the College’s exam delivery partner, to ensure a smooth exam day experience for our candidates. You will also handle payment-related queries, process requests for withdrawals, and maintain accurate candidate records.
Reporting to the Candidate Services Manager, you will collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve candidate-related processes and policies. You will also support the development of pre-exam communications and contribute to the regular review of exam regulations and information packs.
Good education or with equivalent experience, you should have a background in customer service and/or administration, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software packages. You should also be capable of handling, analysing, and manipulating complex data accurately.
With excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, you will be at ease resolving queries, dealing with UK based and international customers, troubleshooting issues, and drafting correspondence and reports. An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality is essential. Experience of administering medical exams or similar events would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Training Officer (Accreditation) is critical to the work of the College, as you will provide services to both trainees and Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)/portfolio applicants, supporting them in completing their training programmes and specialist registration.
As Training Officer (Accreditation), you will develop a thorough understanding of the RCEM Curriculum and CESR processes, ensuring that all trainees and applicants receive high-quality support and advice in line with continuous developments and changes to College standards and GMC regulation. This is an important role for the College as you will contribute to the efficient regulation and support of specialist training in Emergency Medicine.
Responsible for facilitating and processing Certification for the Completion of Training (CCT), Specialist Registration and CESR applications, including formal notifications to the GMC and coordination of CESR panel reviews, you will provide documentation for GMC CCT Quality Assurance audits and maintain detailed records relating to the CESR process.
Reporting to the Training Manager, you will lead on the recruitment, induction, training and monitoring of CESR evaluators, developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, trainee doctors, Health Education regions, deaneries and lay members.
Degree qualified or with equivalent experience, you should have an extensive background in administering training programmes and complex processes, and have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software packages. You should also be capable of collating and analysing complex data and be able to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for change.
With excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, you will be at ease drafting correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and other documents, ensuring accuracy and clear presentation.
An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality along with knowledge of the CESR process is essential. Experience of event management and of servicing committees, including preparing agendas and taking minutes, would be advantageous.

The Senior Transformation Officer is a pivotal role within the Education Transformation Team, working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the College to support, monitor and progress Transformation initiatives within the Education Directorate.
As Senior Transformation Officer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining output progress and benefits tracking, proactively driving the implementation of work plan actions, developing detailed proposal and testing documentation and ensuring high quality data management. You will facilitate regular updates and discussions with stakeholders and conduct analysis against regulatory guidance and best practice to ensure high levels of effectiveness.
Reporting directly to the Head of Education Transformation, you will provide training and support to stakeholders as needed, ensuring changes are successfully adopted and implemented. You will lead meetings, sharing up to date and relevant information with key stakeholders, encouraging contributions and collaboration.
The ability to continuously review and align activities with the strategic objectives of Education Transformation team, ensuring alignment with the College’s broader strategic objectives, whilst maintaining momentum, is essential.
Degree qualified in a relevant field or with relevant professional experience in education administration, it is essential that you should have a detailed understanding of the standard Microsoft Office software and are confident with data management principles.
With a good understanding of education in the UK and overseas you should have experience of presenting complex ideas to varying stakeholders. You should have excellent interpersonal and communications skills along with experience of collaborative working across various teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential, with the ability to work under pressure and achieve multiple simultaneous deadlines.
