Dr Asif Malik has officially taken up the post of East Midlands Regional Chair for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.
Dr Malik, Emergency Medicine Consultant at Queen’s Medical Centre, has officially taken up his post today as the new Regional Chair for the East Midlands.
Dr Asif Malik said, “I am delighted to be appointed to the post of Regional Chair. I have worked in the East Midlands for the twenty years and I am looking forward to representing the Emergency Medicine specialty both regionally and on the national platform.
“I would like to thank my predecessor Richard Wright for all his hard work and I look forward to building on the great work he has done in promoting the College profile in the region. My aim is start a legacy of bringing together all regional Emergency Department faculties to collaborate, share good practice, and promote new innovative ways of working in Emergency Departments across the region under the banner of RCEM.
“I’m really excited about the future of Emergency Medicine in the East Midlands and I am looking forward to bringing together an excellent team to achieve the RCEM standards.”
