Preparing for ACP credentialing

Available until 19 December 2026 | RCEM accredited for 4-CPD points

This event is intended for current ACP supervisors, those preparing to undertake an ACP supervisory role, and individuals who are planning to submit, or are in the process of submitting, an application for RCEM ACP credentialing. It will provide an overview of the credentialing process, guidance on meeting the requirements, examples of strong evidence, and tips from those who have successfully achieved RCEM credentialing. 

Learning objectives

  • Understand the RCEM ACP credentialing process, including timelines, submission expectations, and essential documentation, to support successful application planning
  • Identify and interpret the key requirements for credentialing, including academic qualifications, clinical procedures, workplace-based assessments, and evidence mapped to the RCEM curriculum
  • Evaluate examples of portfolio evidence and apply practical tips to demonstrate capability across clinical and non-clinical Specialty Learning Outcomes (SLOs)
  • Recognise common challenges in the credentialing journey and explore strategies and resources to overcome these barriers, informed by insights from successfully credentialed ACPs
