Adolescent mental health is an RCEM priority and the focus of the 2024-27 RCEM quality improvement project. This study day aims to provide insight into the QIP development and provide a space for sharing good practice, barriers to improvement, and how these can be addressed.

Learning objectives:
- To create an improvement plan for your department’s delivery of adolescent mental health care
- To understand the problems emergency departments face delivering high quality care for adolescents with mental health presentations
- To understand the RCEM quality improvement approach to improving adolescent mental health
- To analyse examples of good practice delivered in emergency departments
- To analyse the barriers faced in emergency departments

Abstract submissions
Submit your abstract for a chance to present as part of the event. We’re looking for submissions on what your department is doing to improve adolescent mental health, or if your hospital is participating in the QIP, we want to hear your experience. What have you tried in your department? What’s worked? What hasn’t worked? What challenges have you faced?
Successful submissions will be invited to give a 10-minute presentation, followed by a Q&A. Please click here to submit a 100-word summary. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday 16 September, and all applicants will be notified from Wednesday 23 September.
Successful applicants will be required to register to attend the event.
RCEM is unable to reimburse registration fees for successful abstract presenters.
