EM educators day

Friday 14 November 2025 | Virtual event | RCEM accredited for 6-CPD points

This study day is dedicated to sharing, exploring, and understanding education within the emergency department. Recognising the increasingly challenging environment in emergency medicine, the event will highlight best practices to support EM educators. It will also showcase local work through abstract submissions and presentations.

Learning objectives:

  • Recognise the unique learning environment created in emergency medicine.
  • Consider the role of education in developing the next generation of emergency medicine leaders.
  • Recognise the importance of continuous educational improvement
  • Maximise clinical teaching and publishing opportunities

  • EM clinicians at all levels


Abstracts

Submit your abstract for the chance to present at the event! We’re looking for abstracts of no more than 300 words on any educational activities relating to EM, PHEM or PEM.  

Please note that we will not be accepting clinical cases. 

The highest scoring abstracts will be invited to present their work as an oral presentation. Other successful applicants will be offered the chance to display their abstract as a poster, which will be added to the online event platform for delegates to browse. 

The deadline for submissions is Sunday 26 September at 23:59 (BST). All submitters will be notified of the outcome from Monday 13 October. 

Successful applicants will be required to register to attend the event. Posters will need to submitted as a PDF file by email to events@rcem.ac.uk, by Thursday 5 November. 

RCEM is unable to reimburse registration fees of the successful abstract presenters or posters.
