QI fundamentals

Focusing on the current RCEM QI program, this event aims to equip attendees with the knowledge and tools needed to implement effective QI initiatives, specifically addressing mental health, care of the older person, time-critical medications, and adolescent mental health.

Learning objectives

  • To understand the fundamental principles and methodologies of Quality Improvement
  • To explore the specific QI projects within the RCEM program and their impact on clinical practice
  • To develop skills in designing, implementing and analysing QI projects
  • To enhance knowledge of standards, metrics and tools used in QI
  • To foster a collaborative approach to QI through sharing best practises and case studies
