The EMTA Conference will take place in York on 25 – 26 February 2026. More information about the venue and the programme will be posted soon!
RCEM members are eligible for the early bird rate when booking a two-day ticket before Tuesday 6 January 2026.
Please note, registration will close on Wednesday 11 February, but may close earlier if capacity is reached.

Abstract submissions
EMTA’s annual conference offers trainees the chance to present original work at a national level.
For #EMTA26 we welcome any abstracts of relevance to the RCEM 2024 curriculum’s Specialty Learning Outcomes (SLOs).
All submissions will be reviewed, and 9 successful applicants will be invited to give an 8-minute talk at the event, which will include 6 minutes of presentation and 2 minutes of Q&A with the delegates. Other successful applicants will be considered to submit their work as a poster to be displayed at the venue. All the applicants, whether successful or not, will be notified after Wednesday 26 November.
Oral presentations
The oral presentations will take place on Day 2 on Thursday 26 February. Successful applicants will have to register to attend the event on that day. They can also register to attend Day 1.
Poster presentations
The posters will be displayed in the venue during the whole conference. Successful poster presenters will have to register for Day 1 and bring their poster to the venue before 09:00 on Wednesday 25 February. Poster presenters can also register to attend Day 2.
RCEM is unable to reimburse travel expenses, accommodation or registration fees of the successful oral or poster presenters.
The best oral presentation and poster will be awarded a prize.
The deadline to submit your abstracts is Wednesday 12 November at 23:59.
Social event
The EMTA Committee will be organising a social event on the evening of Wednesday 25 February. Further details will be shared soon.
