The 2026 EMSAS conference is a hybrid event. Delegates can join virtually or attend onsite at the Bristol Grand Hotel by Sunday, Broad Street, Bristol BS1 2EL
Join us for this year’s EMSAS conference, once again taking place as a hybrid event with the face to face venue in Bristol.
The programme is coming together with topics including:
- Wellbeing
- Career diversification
- HALO Sim
- Wilderness medicine
- Stroke management
- College updates
There is also an opportunity to present your own research or QIPs with the Andrew Newton Cup.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Please note, face-to-face registration will close on Wednesday 28 October, but may closer earlier if capacity is reached.
Virtual registration will remain open until 08:00 on Wednesday 11 November.
Who should attend?
This event is tailored to SASG doctors, however all are welcome to attend.
Abstract submission
Each year at the EMSAS Conference we invite abstract submissions for the Andrew Newton Cup. This year we invite you to submit 300 words on one of the following topics:
- Local initiative project report
- QIP
- Audit (excluding RCEM national audits)
- Research
- Interesting or rare case reports
This is an opportunity for EM doctors to showcase their work and also present it at a national conference. It is good for those wishing to put their work out there and those who need it for portfolio evidence.
The deadline for submission is Wednesday 9 September. You will hear whether or not your submission has been successful from Wednesday 16 September.
Top scoring submitters will be invited to give an oral presentation at the conference and the next group of top scoring submissions will be invited to present their work as a poster. If your work is accepted, you will need to attend the face to face event in Bristol in order to present your work.
Please note whilst we welcome submissions from all EM clinicians, only SAS grade doctors are eligible to win the cup.
