We are pleased to announce that RCEM is progressing with the sustainable expansion of it’s international delivery of the MRCEM Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE).
The MRCEM OSCE is a high-stakes clinical exam hat must be delivered to the same standards of quality, fairness, security and candidate experience as in the United Kingdom.
The Process
A fair and transparent process has been developed to ensure suitability of international expansion meets the needs of RCEM and its candidates. A diagram below has been created to outline the steps.
RCEM are committed to sustainably delivering expansion, with a thorough process involving a tender process. After approval of centre status, we would envisage delivery of an exam would take place approximately 12 months after.

Yes, we would encourage all prospective centres to read our International MRCEM OSCE Host Centre Requirements document carefully prior to expressing an interest.

How do I express an interest in becoming an International OSCE centre?
To express an interest in becoming an International OSCE Centre, prospective centres should fill in the below form.
The form will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete, and allows for you to share images of prospective locations.
What Happens after I fill in the form?
All expression of interest submissions will be reviewed within a month of submission, and will acknowledge once they have been received. We will clarify any queries before inviting prospective centres to complete tender documents.
Tender Documents will be reviewed quarterly in November, February, May and August with recommendations sent to the RCEM Trustee Board on a quarterly basis.
Following recommendations being approved, RCEM will work with the centre contact to prepare to deliver the MRCEM OSCE at the centre.
