The RCEM Geriatrics on demand study day brings together leading experts in emergency and geriatric medicine to address the growing complexity of caring for older adults in the ED. Through a series of focused, case-based sessions, the programme explores high risk presentations, systems challenges, and communication strategies that influence outcomes for frail and older patients.
This event emphasises practical decision making, multidisciplinary collaboration, and patient centred care, equipping clinicians with tools to improve safety, efficiency, and compassionate care for older people in urgent care environments.
