This course provides foundational knowledge in ultrasound physics, image optimisation, and probe manipulation skills. Participants will learn the essentials of using an ultrasound machine and gain a comprehensive understanding of bedside POCUS applications, with specific focus on evaluating children in critical respiratory and hemodynamic states. The Complete POCUS Training CACTUS Paediatrics Course includes online lectures, complemented by mentorship and hands-on bedside teaching, covering: lung, heart, abdomen, and vascular ultrasound. This equips both paediatric and adult critical care providers with essential ultrasound skills. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the new Children’s Acute Ultrasound (CACTUS) accreditation pathway, a collaborative initiative with the Paediatric Critical Care Society and endorsed by the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health.
