Become a Friend of RCEM

The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) is the single authoritative body for Emergency Medicine in the UK, and our mission is clear – to ensure high-quality patient-centred care for all.

We have over 12,000 members world-wide who are all dedicated professionals making a real difference in the field of Emergency Medicine. As a membership professional body, we allow the specialty to have a voice on the training, curriculum, clinical standards, and lobby governments for improvements to care.

We invite you to become a Friend of RCEM.

Becoming a Friend of RCEM is a unique opportunity to create a successful long-term relationship with us as well as increase awareness of your work with our stakeholders and to have the greatest impact in supporting patient care. Places for each package are limited as we want to  ensure that we foster sustainable collaborations.

Founding Friend: Become a Founding Friend and receive a 10% discount on silver and gold packages. We have a maximum of five Founding Friend positions available, and all must be confirmed by 31 December 2024 to be eligible for the discount.

If you wish to sign-up to be a Friend of RCEM for three or more years, then we would be delighted to offer you a 15% discount on all packages outlined below.

What you can expect as a friend of RCEM

  • Acknowledgement at the annual RCEM flagship conference.
    The RCEM flagship conference welcomes over 400 delegates on-site and virtually. This will give your brand the opportunity to be recognised amongst the emergency medicine community.
  • Acknowledgement on the RCEM website.
    Your logo and website link on the Friends of RCEM page to demonstrate your support for us. We will also send you a Friend of RCEM brand image for use on your website.
  • Social media posts on the main RCEM X account.
    @RCollEM has 32.3K followers and has had over 400,000 impressions per month on average in the last 12 months. These posts will acknowledge your support as a Friend of RCEM, and link to your main organisation website.
  • Discounts for a stand at RCEM events or conferences.
    You can see more information about stands and packages in our sponsorship pack. This will give you the opportunity to meet with the emergency medicine community face-to-face to find out about their experiences, and let them know how your organisation can support with your solutions.
  • Free place for a member of your team to attend an event or conference of choice.
    With events spanning a variety of topics across the year, you can pick which is most relevant to you and send a member of your team to learn and develop their knowledge, as well as networking with delegates.
  • Articles in the RCEM newsletter.
    The email newsletter is delivered directly to the inbox of more than 12,000 members each month. The distribution platform allows for specific tailored content to be delivered only to the desired audience. For example, tailored content for our consultant members, or those based in certain locations. With impressive open and engagement rates, it is an excellent communication channel allowing targeted and direct access to the entire RCEM membership every four weeks.
    Articles can only include company specific information with links to your organisation’s website or external channels.
  • Two-minutes advert in up to 5 virtual study days of your choice.
    Highlight your brand, and share your key messages with delegates at our virtual study days. RCEM holds around 30 virtual study days per year on a wide range of topics covering the emergency medicine curriculum. Topics include paediatrics, pre-hospital, mental health, toxicology etc. allowing you to have a target audience that most aligns with your message. An average of over 80 delegates attended each virtual study day in 2023.
  • Opportunity to contribute to bespoke project (such as RCEMLearning modules or webinar).
    RCEMLearning had 1 million podcast downloads and 3.7 million website hits in 2023. Opportunities are bespoke to each organisation according to your goals and objectives. It could be an interview on our podcast, or a free educational webinar for our members.
  • Annual networking and update meeting with members of the RCEM Executive Committee.
    An exclusive opportunity to network with members of the RCEM Executive Committee. This annual full-day event includes updates on the College’s priorities, the problems facing the emergency medicine community, and 1-to-1 networking with senior clinicians and members of the RCEM Senior Leadership team.
