The 2024 EMSAS conference is a hybrid event. Delegates can join virtually or attend onsite at the Crown Spa Hotel, 7-11 Esplanade, Scarborough YO11 2AG
On behalf of everyone at Scarborough A&E, the EMSAS conference 2024 local organising committee led by Dr Abeeb Alabi would like to welcome all EM SAS, non-training grade clinicians to this years’ EMSAS conference at the beautiful ancient town of Scarborough.
This year’s conference will be a two day hybrid event focussing on emergency care in a tourist seaside town, opportunities outside the walls of ED for SAS doctors as well as many clinical topics encountered in day to day practice.
The Andrew Newton Cup will offer a chance to ED clinicians to present their work and projects. There is a social event for face to face attendees which will be an opportunity to socialise with many doctors from various parts of the UK. The venue of the conference itself is inviting and being a tourist destination, you are sure of a lovely experience. The team are confident that the programme will be of interest to all EM doctors at any stage of their careers. 10 CPD points are offered for the whole conference.
Please note, face-to-face registration will close on Wednesday 6 November, but may close earlier if capacity is reached.
Virtual registration will close on Wednesday 13 November at 08:00.
Accommodation is not provided within your ticket price and needs to be booked independently if required.
You can book accommodation online at the conference venue, the Crown Spa, Scarborough, or by calling 01723 357400.
This event is aimed at SASG clinicians across the UK, however it is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
Each year at the EMSAS Conference we invite abstract submissions for the Andrew Newton Cup. This year we invite you to submit 300 words on one of the following topics:
This is an opportunity for EM doctors to showcase their work and also present it at a national conference. It is good for those wishing to put their work out there and those who need it for portfolio evidence.
The deadline for submission is Wednesday 4 September. You will hear whether or not your submission has been successful from Thursday 19 September.
Top scoring submitters will be invited to give an oral presentation at the conference and will need to attend the face to face event. Please note whilst we welcome submissions from all EM clinicians, only SAS grade doctors are eligible to win the cup.
