Navigating legal challenges in the ED

This study day aims to understand the legal aspects associated with the diverse situations in EM daily practice.

Learning objectives:

To understand the legal framework within EM regular activities
To recognise the consequences of the financial and personal losses of patients
To have insight into the role of allied specialties (e.g. police, psychiatry)
To provide a forum to facilitate shared learning to develop patient safety pathways and reduce the incidence of litigation
To learn about Datix, serious incidents and complaints

GMC domains covered: 1, 2, 3 and 4.
