Andrew Fryer, RCEM Head of International, said: “William Rutherford was a pioneer in Emergency Medicine whose passion for alleviating suffering led him to dedicate two decades of his life to working with communities in rural India to support the local developments in Emergency care.

“The William Rutherford International Award celebrates individuals who support collaborations with a focus on excellence in emergency care and humanitarian service.

“We invite you to submit your nominations so we can honour the many inspirational partnerships designed to build emergency care programs, deliver humanitarian medical services, and shape the future of emergency care through education.”
