RCEM Gets Ready for #SASWeek23

RCEM will be celebrating SAS Week from 9 to 13 October by sharing and praising the great efforts of the entire specialty and also from our members in the Emergency Medicine Specialty And Specialist Doctors (EMSAS) forum.

The forum represents and supports all EM Staff & Trust grade doctors including Associate Specialists, Specialist doctors, Speciality doctors, Staff grades, Trust grades, Clinical fellows and other doctors working in non-standard posts in emergency medicine in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

We are looking forward to showcasing the brilliant stories of how our members are excelling through their SAS careers and show our appreciation for all the perseverance that is drawn upon to support colleagues throughout many healthcare settings.

Please get in touch by email communications@rcem.ac.uk or by directly messaging us via social media if you have a story to share about your journey or good practice by a colleague.

RCEM will be celebrating these stories and sharing how SAS is a rewarding career on our website and social media using the hashtag #SASWeek23 to showcase how valuable the specialty is to the public and NHS workforce.

Next month is a busy one for SAS events as on 3 November there is a CESR applicants training day in Manchester for those who intend, or are in the process of, submitting a CESR application in Emergency Medicine for entry to the Specialist Register. This is then followed by the EMSAS Conference 2023 on 14 – 17 November 2023, which is RCEM accredited for 15-CPD points. Make sure you to book now and add those to your calendars before deadlines close.

Please also check your details are correct in our IMIS member database so we can send you important reminders about how we are supporting you through EMSAS, events and with helpful notifications.
