Statement on the FRCEM OSCE on 2-10 November

29 September 2020

Some candidates who have applied to sit the FRCEM OSCE on 2-10 November have been notified that due to a high volume of applications their sitting will be postponed.  We are very sorry that this has happened and we are looking at the clinical and staff resources to make arrangements to create an additional sitting as soon as practical.

Whilst we know that for those who have prepared to take their examination in five weeks’ time the postponement is upsetting and frustrating news, we hope that the offer of additional dates will be able to made soon.

We fully appreciate that the supply of our examinations is vital to the specialty and our first online OSCE was run earlier this month and, because of its success, we hope to be able to plan these additional sittings.  We have already scheduled an increase in capacity into the 2021 timetable.

We shall issue a further update on the situation as soon as possible.
