Join us for this inaugural national event tailored for all dual emergency physicians and intensivists. This comprehensive program offers sessions on successful exam preparation, sustainable working practices, consultant career options, portfolio careers, dual training with pre-hospital care, and academic careers.

Attendees will have the opportunity to network, share experiences, and celebrate the unique advantages and achievements of dual training in EM and ICM. Engage with experts, gain invaluable insights, and connect with peers training and working in emergency and intensive care medicine.

Learning objectives: 

• On-boarding to a Dual CCT in EM and ICM: A guide to successfully navigating the dual training programme, optimizing your experience in both specialties, and establishing your role as a dual EM-intensivist.
• Sustainable Dual Training: Insights and practical tips on achieving a sustainable work-life balance while undertaking this dual training programme, including preparation for consultant life.
• Exam Preparation and Success: Strategies and resources to help doctors to excel in their EM and ICM exams, including advice on optimal exam timing, preparation resources, and navigating the differences between the FRCEM and FFICM final examination formats.
• Career Pathways Exploration: An exploration of various career options post-training, including consultant roles, portfolio pathway applications, pre-hospital care, and academic opportunities, to help doctors in training make informed decisions about their future.
• Research in EM and ICM: A review of key trials and active research relevant to both EM and ICM, along with discussions on career options in academia, research, and education.
