Dr James Gagg has officially taken up the post of South West Regional Chair for the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.
Dr Gagg, Emergency Medicine Consultant and Clinical Director for Urgent and Emergency Care at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, has officially taken up his post as Regional Chair for the South West of England.
Dr James Gagg said, “I am thrilled to be appointed to the post of Regional Chair. I have long worked in the South West of England and I am looking forward to representing the Emergency Medicine specialty in the region.
“One of my aims as Chair is to increase engagement in the area by setting up a regional network so that staff from all groups can come together to discuss experiences and ways of working. I am also keen to raise the profile of Emergency Medicine in the region and the problems that we are facing by engaging with the media and politicians.”
The College is pleased to announce Dr Gagg and wishes him every success in his new role.
