Suturing and Wound Management in Emergency Medicine

Summary of event:

Now in its 11th year this well regarded 1 day course is uniquely designed for the management of those wounds found in the ED. The course covers the principles of wound management (45 mins) and suturing skills (5 hrs 20 mins) using knot tying jigs and animal (pig) specimens. You really will be able to suture by the end of the day. Taught in small groups (max 6 per instructor) directed by an experienced surgically trained EM Consultant who also teaches on the RCS Basic Surgical Skills course. Ideal for all clinicians (all grades of doctor including consultants and ANPs & ACPs) who wish to improve their wound care skills. Previously accredited for CPD by RCEM.
