Kaizen (formerly ePortfolio) is a platform that allows RCEM members with the appropriate category, to create a learning record that provides actual evidence of achievement to support either their progression through a recognised training programme or provide evidence on their professional development for future use.

Upon successful application a username and password will be issued which will allow you access to Kaizen; this can take up to 10 working days.
Please be aware that Core EM Trainees (CT1-3), HST trainees (ST4-6), Run-Through-Trainees (ST1-6) and those in LAT or FTSTA posts need to register/enrol with the College.
These are separate processes to applying for Membership of the College or registering with the LETB/deanery.
Educational / Clinical supervisors, who do not already have a Kaizen account, should email ePortfolio@rcem.ac.uk with your GMC number, full name and email address.
The RCEM ePortfolio (Kaizen) is used by a wide variety of Emergency Medicine Professionals and is available to members of the College who have the appropriate membership category. Application for College Membership and ePortfolio access can be made online here.
The primary users of the e-portfolio are Run-Through trainees (ST1-6), Core Specialty trainees (CT1-3), Higher Specialty trainees (ST4-6), and those in FTSTA and LAT posts to record and store key documents for progression through training.
ACCS trainees with parent specialties other than Emergency Medicine should use the ePortfolio platform used by their home College.
Access to the e-portfolio is also available for EM Trainees in the Republic of Ireland, Iceland and those who particulate on the Emergency Medicine Foundation Programme (EMFP)
Advanced Clinical Practitioners working in Emergency Medicine, including Paediatric Emergency Care, are eligible to use the ePortfolio. The evidence collected through the ePortfolio will be used to supports an ACP’s credentialing application.
Access to the ePortfolio is included within your membership at no additional cost.
The RCEM ePortfolio is also used by other non-training professionals who work within Emergency Medicine. This is to collect evidence of their work within the Emergency Department, particularly if they:
